About us the business of faith project aims to help businesses
and individuals in the City of London to engage with issues of religion
and belief in the workplace and in commercial life.
Religion and the Law The Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations came into force
in December 2003. These regulations cover employment and vocational training,
and prohibit discrimination against workers because of their religious
or similar belief. The Business of Faith training the business of faith offers regular training courses on religion and belief in the workplace. Courses will be available for City-based businesses, HR and diversity managers, employee groups and networks, and City-based religious organisations. The next training session will be held on Thursday, 19 January 2005, from 15:00 to 17:30. A limited number of spaces are still available.
To register for the training session, to discuss your organisation's needs or for more information, please contact the business of faith at 020 7496 1610 or email info@thebusinessoffaith.org. |
RECENT DEVELOPMENTS
the business of faith has produced a set of Ramadan briefing notes for managers, addressing workplace issues around the Muslim period of fasting which continues until 2 November 2005. The briefing notes offer practical advice on accommodation of prayer and fasting times, the significance and physical demands of fasting, and links to online resources. Copies of the briefing notes are available at cost price (£1/each) upon request. Please contact us for more information. |
