Single Equality Commission The Government is establishing the Commission for Equality and Human Rights (CEHR) with responsibility for tackling unlawful discrimination and promoting equality and human rights. The CEHR will take over the functions of the existing equality commissions (the Equal Opportunities Commission, the Commission for Racial Equality, and the Disability Rights Commission) by 2009. The Government is establishing the CEHR through the Equality Bill.
